The Maryland Science Center is Maryland's oldest scientific institution, located in Baltimore. This Science Center has three levels: the exhibition, planetarium and the observatory. Its first organization name is "The Maryland Academy of Science and Literature" until a tragic fire destroyed almost all of the library's collections and records. Moving forward to 2005, a major renovation was completed in the entire facility and added upgrades like the IMAX Theater. This Science center won as the Best Place to Take Kid's in the Best of Baltimore Awarding in 2006 and another recognition by Parent's Magazine was given to them for being listed in the "Top 10 Best Science Centers for Families." Interestingly, since the success of the Maryland Science Center, it also has a strategic vision set for 2023 where they're planning a road for its extensive growth. 

Upon stepping out of the center is a 5-minute walk to North Charles Street where the Basilica of the National Shrine the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or most commonly called the Baltimore Basilica, is located. This cathedral is a prominent historic place because this is the first Roman Catholic Cathedral built in the US. The Royal Sonesta Harbor Baltimore is a luxurious 4-star hotel that provides comfort and access to any of Baltimore's memorable tourist sites. Located in Key Highway, another historic coastal bastion fort called Fort McHenry was established and listed as one of the National Monument and Historic Shrine" in the US. Thousands of tourists were visiting this monument because Baltimore is also the Birthplace of the US National Anthem, "Star-Spangled Banner." Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor is also a great option. Take a 30-minute drive to Baldwin, a neighboring town to Baltimore, for a different ambiance.
