Uruapan International Airport– UPN
Uruapan International Airport, also known as the Lic. y Gen. Ignacio López Rayón International Airport, is a public airport that serves the city of Uruapan, Mexico. Located in the state of Michoacán, the airport is the state’s second-busiest and second-largest international gateway. It is served by the airline Volaris, which flies to Tijuana, Mexico and Los Angeles, California in the United States. The airport is operated by the Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares, a corporation owned by the federal government of Mexico.

Set at an elevation of 5,258 feet above mean sea level, the Uruapan International Airport has an asphalt runway that is 7,874 feet in length. It is capable of handling large aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320.The airport also has one terminal. In 2017, the Uruapan International Airport accommodated a total of 150,192 passengers. A year later in 2018, the passenger traffic increased to 160,045. When landing n the UPN, you can tour the nearby Camelinas, Lagunilas, Janitzio Island, and Morelia, among many others.
